| About Linda's Pet Care Services
Linda Wagner founded Linda’s Pet Care Services in the spring of 2002. Linda, a longtime pet lover and professional pet sitter since the late 1980s’, studied forestry and animal biology for three years before changing course and earning a bachelor’s degree in American History. Linda moved to Estes Park in May 1992, after graduating from South Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. She worked at Animal Medical Center in Estes Park under the tutelage of Dr. Rick Dill, DVM for three years as the boarding manager of the veterinary hospital as well as the impound and adoption center. During this time, she began to study animal behavior and created a daycare program for socializing young puppies. After Linda left Animal Medical Center, she opened her own state and city-licensed daycare and training facility. She worked with local behaviorists and trainers to update and maximize the socialization program she offered through doggie daycare as well as to provide a comfortable setting for dogs spending their vacation at her home. In January 2007, Linda took the plunge and expanded her business by moving to a much larger facility that includes all the comforts of home plus the added feature of two indoor play rooms, as well as an outdoor play area. The indoor play areas provide a much needed outlet for the dogs during inclement weather, giving them an opportunity to play from dawn to dusk, come rain, sleet or snow. Linda's Pet Care Facility is the only one of its kind in Estes Park. Linda is the proud ‘parent’ of several pets including Max, Emma, Grace, Sophie, and Buzz and freely admits to spoiling them all. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, cooking, occasionally writing a local pet behavior column, and vacuuming up endless amounts of fur. |
